About Studio Nominum

was founded in 1992 by award wining director and producer Arunas Matelis. Studio Nominum focuses main attention in film production, distribution, cinema events, interactive educational projects.

produced or coproduced around 30 creative documentaries. We successfully worked with the well known Lithuanian film-makers, like: Henrikas Sablevicius, Audrius Stonys, Vytautas V.Lansbergis, Romas Lileikis, Oksana Buraja, Audrius Mickevicius and others.
documentaries were screened in many world wide film festivals like: Cannes (“Directors’ fortnight” and “Critics’ Week”), Rotterdam, Torino, San Paulo, Oberhausen, Amsterdam/ IDFA, Leipzig, Moscow, Nyon, Silverdocs , Split, ZagrebDox, DocumentaMadrid and others. Well-know documentary festivals, like: IDFA Amsterdam, Leipzig, Florence “Festival dei Popoli”, Linz, Open Doek Film Festival (Belgium), MoMA (New York) and others arranged the retrospectives.
own documentaries distributed in Lithuanian cinemas demonstrate the best results among documentaries by spectators (more than 22000), second best results by box office (the first “Winged Migration”), absolutely the best DVD sales (short “Flight over Lithuania” and the feature length “Before Flying Back to the Earth”).
